I bet you arrived here from Helen's blog.  Don't you just love her card? This week our color is Wild Wasabi.  I chose to use the combo with So Saffron and Perfect Plum.  I needed a halloween card so I decided to use my Bootiful Occasions stamp set and Wicked Cool.   Hop on my broom and fly over to Sandy's blog to see her fabulous creation.

I was suppose to submit this card last week for our challenge, but I was under the weather a few days.  I was upset with myself because I created the card a few weeks ago, but never posted it to the blog.  Sorry ladies!  Helen had such a great take on our color this week. The color this week was for Certainly Celery and I chose the combo that included Marina Mist and Whisper White.  I also used one of my favorite stamp sets which is Aviary. I know Sandy had a great card, check it out.

Well I hope you arrived here from Helen's blog.  Just love her take on the combo this week.  I chose to use the combo: Pink Pirouette, Baja Breeze & Early Espresso.  The stamp set I used was Tea Shoppe.  I decided to keep the design simple with this color combo.  I hope you like it.  Please hop over to Sandy's blog to see her fabulous creation.

Hello Everyone!!  I hope you arrived here from Laura's blog.  I love her work.  Today's challenge was Rose Red (I hope, because I couldn't find the email with the list of colors and I didn't want to bug Robbie at the last minute). In any case, the color combo I chose was Rose Red, Not Quite Navy and River Rock.  I have been wanting to use the Greeting Card Kids stamp set, so I thought this color combo would work with it.  I also used the greeting from the Cherish Friendship stamp set.  I didn't have any Rose Red paper, so I had to cheat and color with a marker on Whisper White card stock and then cut it out with the number dies.  Let's hop on over to Sandy's blog, I can't wait to see what she has created.  Maybe she will have a new technique for us also.

Wednesday, September 12, 2012

I hope you arrived here from Helen's blog, wasn't her card great.  I struggled with the combinations this week.  Garden Green is the main color and I chose the combo with Choc. Chip and More Mustard.  The stamp set is Nature Walk.  I wanted to create a vintage look, which can be very challenging for me.  I sprayed the finished card with Choc. Chip/Alcohol solution, but it turned the choc. chip images purple. Then I used the color spritzer tool and put on my Choc. Chip marker and then the green.  Please hop over to Teri's blog to see a fabulous card.

I hope you arrived here from Helen's blog, if not please check out her card it is very cute. Our challenge this week is Always Artichoke and I used it with So Saffron & Cajun Craze.  I have to say I really like this combo.   The stamp sets I used were French Foliage and Friendly Phrases. This style using the layers is a very versatile technique.  I also used the stamping technique rock and roll.  Please hop over to Teri's blog to see her fabulous creation!

I bet you arrived here from Helen's blog, I love the design she did for the challenge.  This week we are using the color combos for Not Quite Navy.  I chose to use it with Pumpkin Pie and Garden Green.  I love this quirky stamp set (Aviary), it always puts a smile on my face when I see it.  Hop on over to  Teri's blog and see her fabulous card.

You must have arrived here from Helen's blog, wasn't her card great.  I don't know where this week has gone.  I did all my cards early, but for some reason never posted them all.  The color this week is "Night of Navy".  I used Old Olive and Daffodil Delight.  I scribled all three colors on a piece of white card stock and then cut them out.  I like this effect, I might do it more often.  Have a great day!  Hop over to Sandy's blog to see her fun take on the color challenge.

Well I had quite the struggle getting this posted today.  You probably arrived here from  Liz's blog.  Some days I am more challenged than others.  This picture really doesn't do the eggplant color justice, but it is all I have.  I also used Melon Mambo and River Rock.  I bet you can't wait to see what  Sandy has created, I know I can't, so hop on over.
Experiencing technical problems.  Go see  Sandy's blog, she never disappoints.

Wednesday, August 8, 2012

Today's color is Riding Hood Red.  I like this color because you can use it with many combinations.  I chose the combo with More Mustard and Gray.  I suppose you got here from Liz's blog.  She had a great card, love the softness of the effect she did.  Hop on over to Sandy's blog and see her beautiful creation.  Maybe you will learn a new technique from her today.  Have a great week!  Sorry for the delay this morning, I was experiencing technical difficulties.

Wednesday, August 1, 2012

This week our color challenge uses Bravo Burgandy.  I like Liz's take on this color.  This is a color that I rarely use.   It is a very bold color, so I think you have to use it in small doses.  I chose the combo Bravo Burgandy, Baja Breeze and River Rock.  I wasn't thrilled with my stamp placements; however, I needed to cover some mistakes....Shhhhh.  Please go see Sandy's creative use for this color challenge, she always manages to amaze me with her creations.

The color challenge this week is Cherry Cobbler.  I love this versatile color.  Liz had a great way of using the color combo.  I chose the color combo Cherry Cobbler, So Safron, and Expresso. It is hard to tell by my photo but the circle is cut out and the bird peeks through from the inside of the card.  Hop on over to Sandy's blog to see her fabulous work.  Maybe if you are lucky she will teach you a new technique this week.   I love when she gives us those little tips.

Saturday, July 21, 2012

Well Donna, from Butternut Sage Designs, gave us another challenge.  We are to use three of the new colors together.  I hope you like my card, it just evolved.  I love when that happens!  I used Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit, Primrose, and Gumball Green.  The stamps are from Aviary and Apothecary Art.

Cajun Craze Color Challenge

This week we were challenged with another regal color, Cajun Craze.  Hopefully, you got here from Liz's blog.  I am always impressed with Liz's blog work.  A lot of our friends from Morning Chat are in Utah now getting ready for the big Stampin Up convention.  Next year there are several of us that are planning on going.  So.... back to the challenge.   It is hard to tell from this photo, but the card is Cajun Craze, with Old Olive and Baja Breeze.  I must say I am not a huge fan of this color combo.  Oh well, hop on over to Sandy's blog, I am sure she is going to have something that will knock your socks or "boots" off.  Have a great week! Hello, Donna, Tracy, Robbie, Laura Lynn & Amanda!  Hope you are having a great time at convention.  Miss you.

Hello Everyone,

Today's color challenge was More Mustard, as I am sure you found when you visited Liz's blog. I have to say this is one of my favorite colors. The colors I used were More Mustard, Old Olive and Bravo Burgandy.  I have been wanting to use this stamp set, so I hope you like it.  Please hop on over to Sandy's  for her creative use of More Mustard.  Have  a great day!

Well I guess you arrived here from Liz's blog.  She is so creative.  Today's color challenge from the "Morning Chat Group" is Old Olive.  I used the color combo with Pretty in Pink, Old Olive and Night of Navy.  I hope you like it.  Thanks to my friend Sandy and her creativity, I colored my own dazzling diamonds with pretty in pink.  Hop on over to Sandy's blog and check out her fabulous card.  While you are there scroll down and review her secret for coloring your own dazzling diamonds.  Happy 4th of July everyone!

Our new challenge in the "Morning Chat Group", hosted by Donna at Butternut Sage Designs was to use Baker's Twine in a focal point.  I chose Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade & Calypso Coral in the Baker's Twine and International Bazaar DSP.  Each balloon is backed in Chocolate Chip and the card base is Lucky Limeade.  I am pleased with the way it turned out and I hope you enjoy as well.

Hello Everyone and Welcome!  I'm glad you hopped over from  Liz's blog.  I really like what she did this week.  The color challenge this week is with Pacific Point, so I chose the combo: Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry.  If Rich Razzleberry is a choice, I am going to pick it every time.  It is my FAV!!!  At first I had some difficulty coming up with an idea, but I am very pleased with the way it turned out.  I hope you like it as well.  Now for an extra special treat hop on to Sandy's blog because she is always coming up with new techniques and ideas.  She is so creative, enjoy!

Real Red Color Challenge

Thanks for hopping over from Liz's blog www.lizzystamps.wordpress.com .  This week as you know Real Red was the color from the Color Coach.  I felt like the color combo for Real Red, Bashful Blue and Crumb Cake was very French.  However, I did two different cards.  Please let me know which you like best.  Now please hop on over to Sandy's blog www.icemountaindesigns.blogspot.com to see how she has used Real Red in her card.  I'm sure you will love it, because I always enjoy seeing what she comes up with during our challenges.

Tuesday, June 5, 2012

Well, Donna (Butternut Sage Designs) has challenged us with a masculine card or Father's Day card.  My Father has always been a strong figure in my life, so I made this card for him.  I hope he likes it.  The card stock I used is Soft Suede, Crumb Cake & So Saffron.  The ink used was Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Old Olive, Saraha Sand & So Saffron.  I have also used the Houndstooth embossing folder.  The stamps used were Zoo Review and Inspired by Nature.

Regal Rose Challenge

Thanks for hopping over from Liz's blog.  As you know by now, our color from the Color Coach is Regal Rose.  I chose the combo Regal Rose, Tempting Turquoise & Sahara Sand.  The stamp sets used were: The Nicest Things and Fabulous Phrases.  Sandy www.icemountaindesigns.blogspot.com has a very special surprise waiting for you.  You are going to love what she has done with the colors.  Have a great day!  Please stop by again.

I love Rich Razzelberry and Lucky Limeade together.  I doesn't get any better than that for me.  The Floral District DSP has also hit a homerun with me.  Just a quick post to show you how much I love those colors.  I used Betsy's Blossom stamp and I have misplaced the other stamp in my room, so I will have to get back to you on it.

Saturday, May 26, 2012

I hope everyone is enjoying this holiday weekend.  Our morning Chat group, that is sponsored by Donna at Butternut Sage Designs, has a new challenge from our fearless leader.  Donna challenged us to make a red, white and blue card.  I struggled with this card because it has a special destination and I wanted to make it perfect.  Ideally, I would have loved to have some military stamps.  You see this card is destined for Afghanistan.  Capt. Mazzella is a graduate of Warwick High School, where my kids have gone and still attend.  I noticed on the school website that they were collecting items for the soldiers because their barracks, which included all their belongings was blown up in a raid.  Fortunately no one was hurt, however, they lost everything.  I work in a small office which totals 7 people.  Four of the group are technicians that work in the field.  Some have been in the military or have children serving.  They opened their hearts and wallets for these young men.  Because I have 4 large boxes of supplies to send over from all of us.  We want to thank all of these men (there were no women in this group) for all they are doing for our country and let them know they are in our prayers everyday.http://butternutsagedesigns.blogspot.com/

I don't know what I did wrong last night, but my blog did not post.  I am such a rookie at this!  Here is my card for our Coloring Down the Line challenge using Melon Mambo.  I also challenged myself by doing a card with no layers.  I have two cards for the challenge, please let me know which you like best.  Now hop on over to Sandy'swww.icemountaindesigns.blogspot.com to see her fabulous creation for this challenge.
